Valparaiso is one of the oldest cities in Chile with origins dating back to 1536. Located 120 kilometers from Santiago, the capital of Region Five, where the seat of centralized government sits.
The city serves as sustenance to the port activity, through the provision of certain services.
The city is heir to a historical past, which gives it a unique identity. In the nineteenth the city century hosted successive waves of immigrants, mainly from Europe, giving a cosmopolitan character to Valparaiso.

Laguna Verde
It is located 18 km from Valparaíso. It is a beautiful long beach which is accessed by the Way "Quebrada Verde". It is a seaside resort, generally has good weather and is endowed with inns, camping, kiosks and restaurants, where you can enjoy the typical cuisine based on seafood.
La Sebastiana
It is Pablo Neruda's house in the port of Valparaiso. It is located in the street, Ferrari 692, Cerro Florida in Valparaíso.
Paseo Muelle Barón
With the opening of the Paseo Muelle Barón in May 2002 by the then President of the Republic of Chile, Mr. Ricardo Lagos Escobar, the Port was joined to the city. Access to the coastline has always been an aspiration of the people, then in 1980 it had to be closed for public access to the Costanera.
Today the Paseo Muelle Barón, is the perfect spot for resting and enjoying an incredible view of the city.
Paseo 21 de Mayo
It is considered one of the most attractive viewpoints of the city, which overlooks the bay of Valparaiso. Its main entrance is the elevator Artillery, but can also be reached through the street, Artillery, or "orompello".
