When we began our quest to look outside of the USA for a new residence and were researching all of the different countries we might like to call home, we created a list of the ingredients or factors which we would like to have in place for our comfort and peace of mind... Maybe it was the seeming innocence and honesty of the Chilean people, their knowledge of right from wrong... In Chile, one can invest in offshore Chilean Real Estate, move to Chile or retire in Chile for a fraction of what it would cost in the USA or Western Europe.... We have been amazed at the lack of nasty bugs, dangerous animals and inhospitable living conditions.... Chile is, quite simply a very beautiful, magical place where one can invest, purchase real estate, vacation and relocate to without the same concerns found in so many of the other "Retirement Havens"...
