Q&A: Electrical Adapters in Chile... 2 prong or 3 prongs?

By Blog Answers at 01/27/09 09:17

On 12/10/08 09:53, JANE asked the following question:

Hello ~ I am travelling to Chile. Got a question about electrical adapters. I have the 2-prong type that is the most common in the world, used in Europe, and I understand can be used in Chile.

Then I read that Chile uses the "grounded adapter" common in Italy, with 3 prongs. Which is it? Will the type I have be ok to use there?

Today is Dec 11-- hope you can answer soon -- I leave the 15th !
