Environmental concerns such as global warming, loss of various species of flora & fauna, ozone depletion and so forth are haunting scientists for years. It is quite a relief in the midst of all these fearful phenomenon if we hear something like the existance of a place where lot of varieties of plants, mammals, birds etc exist which arent found elsewhere, or are quite rare. Its the Valdivian Coastal Range
