I have recently learned that Chile is actually an inexpensive place to live. If you bring things from home (computers, DVD players, VCRs, etc.) it is much cheaper than actually buying them in Chile. Plug adaptors are also a must as the voltage in homes and apartments in Chile is double the voltage in the U.S. for homes.
Also, some billing companies in Chile let you pay all the necessities like gas, cable, telephone, internet and other bills all at once.
All in all there are many benefits to living in Chile
