As part of our cultural adventure, we present to you Chile's (and Bolivia's) official dance, the Cueca.
Interestingly, cueca has both Spanish and African influences whose exact origins are still unknown. It is mainly a variation of the Spanish Fandango, immersed in African modifications.
The Cueca is not only a symbol of Chilean symbol. It's also a symbol of the Chileans' fight for liberty, as it was used by the women as a sign of protest during the Pinochet years.
