The neighborhood of Patronato in Santiago de Chile is located between the streets of Recoleta, Loreto, Bellavista and Dominica. The area is home to many immigrant groups such as Arabs, Koreans and Chinese . Many immigrants arrived with the idea of marketing products from their home countries, mainly in the textile business, and gastronomy. Over time, the textile industry continues its heyday in the same streets. Its main advantage over other stores and malls is that the prices are affordable in all types of clothing, from clothes to party dresses.
The designs are quite varied, and although you won't find exclusive or luxury items that are available inand in big malls, all the normal standard things are there to satisfy your curiosity with much lower pricetags. Some stores also specialize in special sizes to satisfy a a demand still untapped by the big stores.
Among the things I've seen in the neighborhood, there are separate clothing and accessories of all kinds, synthetic and natural wigs and hair extensions, even street markets hair extensions, also at very low prices compared to stores in other more elite commercial districts.
Traders make their own products, usually clothes are made with locally sourced fabrics. The best of this area, I would say that is the variety of things, that all shops are together and so you can find everything in one place.
