The Central Valley, also called the Longitudinal Valley, is one of Chile's six super regions. In the past (and even in the present), it is the most inhabited and most economically matured region in the country.
It is composed of Santiago of Chile, Valparaiso, Vine of the Sea, Rancagua, Curicó, Talca, Chillán, Concepcio'n, and Talcahuano.
