Did you know that penguins cannot be found in Antarctica alone? Yep, that's right. Southern Chile and Argentina are home to three species of penguins, something that is not a surprise since the southernmost tip of South America is the also the southernmost place in the world (Antarctica excluded). In fact, these region has 1,700,000 pairs of the Magellanic Penguin; 250,000 pairs of the Southern Rockhopper Penguin; and 12,00 pairs of the Macaroni Penguin.
