southern chile Penguins in Latin America
Did you know that penguins cannot be found in Antarctica alone? Yep, that's right. Southern Chile and Argentina are home to three species of penguins, something that is not a surprise since the southernmost tip of South America is the also the southernmost place in the world (Antarctica excluded).

In fact, these region has 1,700,000 pairs of the Magellanic Penguin; 250,000 pairs of the Southern Rockhopper Penguin; and 12,00 pairs of the Macaroni Penguin.
