The first impression was that Chile is a modern country that tries to upgrade structural and technologically, the airport is modern and spacious, both outside and within, can be compared with the airports in Madrid, London, another thing to stress is treatment of employees, who behave very kind and attentive to each question that the traveler has cleanliness of the place is another thing to stress, because the whole place looked perfect.
At the airport I find information about types of care to care of the new flu AH1N1 not exaggerate the issue, a good thing because the tourists want to have fun and not be bothered by health issues
When leaving the airport there are many offers of transportation (sellers of taxi transfers are a bit annoying and are bugging travelers to get a customer). I decided to go by bus, because I saw the cost on the Internet is much cheaper to get downtown.
At the bus stop it was easy to find information about schedules and destinations of the buses that make the trip from the airport downtown. It is a good idea to ask a someone else waiting for the bus if its the right one.
The bus ticket costs about $1700 Chilean pesos, approximately U.S.$3.50 and if loaded with a lot of luggage, there are some men who help raise the luggage to the bus. Metro is also a good option to travel in Chile, are quick, clean and have systems in combination with bus transfers, the metro ticket cost $400 chilean pesos (U.S. $1).
Metro stations also look clean and modern, trains are fast and many of them are new, my impression is that they are renovating all the meters
Arriving at my destination, it was difficult to communicate only by phone, the lines were always busy. After several attempts, finally I could talk and everything settled that was my first impression of chile
